Marion’s business advisory council (MAWAC) will share their work to align college and career readiness activities for affiliated school districts and industry partners.
Dr. Shelly Dason, previous director of MAWAC, is now the countywide school-business liaison. She has been in education for 38 years, with the last 4 years as the Director of Student Services for Pleasant and Ridgedale Local School Districts.
Marcia Pitts is the current director of MAWAC (Marion Area Workforce Acceleration Collaborative). She has worked in the Marion City Schools for 29 years, the last 6 as the Career Pathways Supervisor.
