Join the ESC of Central Ohio to learn about their journey to a 4-star award winning business advisory council focused on developing professional skills for future careers, building partnerships, and developing student experiences. Ideas and resources will be shared as well as how feedback from the Ohio Business-Education Leader Awards was used to drive improvement and expand impact.

Jama Cobb, Work-based Learning Coordinator at the ESCCO. In her role, she supports the 30 ESC member districts to leverage their membership in ways that net results. By connecting students to the workforce through awareness, exploration, work-based learning and pre-apprenticeship opportunities it helps provide a pipeline to the emerging workforce. She has been advocating to connect content to careers since 2014. She holds a Master Degree in Education from Bowling Green State University with a focus in Workforce Development.

Christine Galvin is the Director of College and Career Success at the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio. Formerly an Assistant Superintendent at Bellefontaine City Schools, Christine has served as a High School Principal and a High School English Teacher for a total of thirty years in education.
At the ESCCO, Christine runs the Success Network with the mission of serving as a link between schools and leaders, providing resources to advance and accelerate students beyond high school. Much of her work focuses on connecting stakeholders through the Business Advisory Council, Higher Education Partnerships, District Support, and grant opportunities.
Christine also supports regional collaborative efforts around pathway and work-based learning development. Originally from Kenton, Ohio, Christine received a BA from Bowling Green State University in English Education and a Master Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Findlay.

John Hambrick, Work-Based Learning Coordinator Educational Service Center of Central Ohio John has been engaging and collaborating with Central Ohio businesses, area Economic Development professionals, educational partners, and training institutions for the past 20 years.
John is a community connector, helping organizations with workforce solutions, including talent pipeline development, hiring events, retention strategies, training solutions, and key professional networking groups.
Since 2019, John has advocated for stronger Business and Industry alignment and participation with the K-12 ecosystem across Central Ohio as well as promoting key initiatives affecting Ohio’s adult and student workforce.
