This session will provide the audience with an insightful look into the world of urban education incorporating the use of differentiated instruction, credit flexibility, industry recognized credentials, all while addressing the social and emotional barriers.

Kristen Muenster
Kristen Muenster is the Vice President of NCUS TEC, a post-secondary career college focusing on upskilling, retooling, and gainful employment opportunities. Kristen spent 15 years in the secondary education setting. Ten of those years were spent as an intervention specialist where she dedicated her expertise and passion to ensure her students had every opportunity to succeed. For five years as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, she implemented outside-of-the-box teaching strategies and programs. In 2017, Kristen spearheaded the Adult Education Program; she became a catalyst in helping adults 22 years of age and older obtain their high school diploma.
As Vice President, NCUS TEC, Kristen has expanded our adult career school offerings to include over 30 certifications in high industry demand jobs. Kristen earned her BA at The University of Mount Union and her master’s degree from Cleveland State University. Kristen has spoken at several conferences, including National Council for Exceptional Children, National ESEA Conference, Georgia Southern University, Ohio Workforce Summit, and several others. She currently lives in Gahanna with her two young boys (3 and 6) and fiancé.
